Adjustable benches are a staple weight machine, as any home weight lifting equipment owner will tell you. If you really think about it, adjustable benches are pretty versatile weight room equipment. You can do exercises such as bench presses and dips, crunches and sit-ups, and several dumbbell exercises, including YTWLs.
Below are some of our adjustable benches and what they offer.
Adjustable Bench 750 Series – 1” space between seat pad and back pad, 2”-thick foam padding, handle and wheels for easy transport, polypropylene for durability, can be used alone or with a rack system
Millennium Adjustable Bench – Adjusts 0-85 degrees, handle and wheels for easy transport, 2”-thick foam padding, 11” x 42” back pad, upright storage, rubber feet for stability, double direct supports offer extreme stability
We also have an adjustable decline sit-up bench. This adjustable bench is great for maximizing the effects of different types of sit-ups and crunches. Since adjustable decline sit-up benches suspend your upper body lower than your hips and thighs, it forces your hip flexors and abs to work against gravity at different angles versus just lying flat on the floor. By adding a twist at the end of your sit-up or crunch, you can work your obliques as well as your abdominal muscles.
As you can see, adjustable benches are useful for so much more than just weight lifting. They also allow you to specify the intensity of your workout. A steeper incline will give you a more difficult workout, and a lower incline, recommended for beginners, will allow you to work your way up as you gain strength and experience. As with any exercise, it is important to make sure that you use the correct form throughout your routine to avoid injury.
